Los Alamos and Rio Arriba Counties, September 2, 2025 – United Way Northern New Mexico is thrilled to announce that our grant portal is now open for 2025 funding requests! We invite eligible 501(c)3 nonprofits serving residents in Los Alamos and/or Rio Arriba counties to apply for support that will help address critical needs within our communities.

Our mission is to uplift local nonprofits through strategic funding that targets the most pressing needs. We are eager to support programs and operations that make a tangible difference in our identified impact areas:

  • Education/Youth Mentorship: Empowering young people to reach their full potential.

  • Behavioral Health/Parental Supports: Enhancing community health and well-being.

  • Food/Housing: Ensuring stability and access to essential needs.

  • Senior Transportation: Improving transportation options for seniors to access vital healthcare services.

To be eligible, applicants must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit in good standing with the Secretary of State and IRS, and offer services in one or more of our impact areas.

Most grant awards can range between $5K and $20K, with $25K being the high end of typical funding.
