Providing Strategic Support

United Way of Northern New Mexico serves as the official regional Resource Hub for the Northern New Mexico Youth Fund.

The Resource Hub provides strategic resources to a cohort of Tribes, nonprofit organizations, and schools focused on career technical education, work-based learning, leadership development and transition supports for underserved young people, especially opportunity youth (individuals between the ages of 16 and 24 who are neither enrolled in school nor participating in the workforce), Native American youth, and young parents of young children. This strategic support includes:

Building Nonprofit Capacity and Capability - UNITE!

By uniting community organizations, we’re improving the quality and accessibility of vital services that address pressing issues such as food insecurity and behavioral health. Regular collaborative meetings provide nonprofits with opportunities for training, funding resources, and shared problem-solving to tackle the unique challenges our communities face—together.

Empowering Young Leaders

We’re investing in the next generation of leaders. Tailored programs and insight into paths that will inspire youth to discover their potential and equip them with essential skills to succeed in meaningful careers, all while serving as role models for future generations.

Our youth-focused offerings include:

  • Job and life skills workshops

  • Train-the-Trainer programs in Mental Health and Community Health

  • Financial literacy classes

  • And more youth-driven training programs designed to foster confidence and capability.
