Atomic City Regatta at the Next Big Idea Festival around Ashley Pond in downtown Los Alamos from 11 am to 3 pm. The United Way Youth Team (UWYT) will be joining forces with the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce for the Next Big Idea Festival. The Atomic City Regatta will provide families with an opportunity to assemble small sailboats and participate in wind-powered, rain-gutter boat races. Boat kits will be available for $7.00 each and can be purchased Friday evening or Saturday at the Showcase of Ideas. Be a Boat sponsor! This is a great opportunity to advertise your business or just to show support to the United Way Youth Team. All sponsors will have a boat created with their company name and logo to be displayed on the UWYT table at the Next Big Idea. If interested in being a Boat sponsor please call 662-0800.
